Bangladesh beat India in the final of the U-19 World Cup in South Africa Sunday to bring the first ever World Cup for the cricket-frenzied nation.
The Akbar Ali-led side, who were unbeaten in the tournament, will arrive on an Emirates flight that is scheduled to land at 4:55pm local time.
Though the time and date of the grand reception for the World Cup winners that is expected to be hosted by the government at the Suhrawardy Udyan is yet to be finalised, BCB is leaving no stone unturned to make sure they give them some kind of reception upon arrival.
The BCB has already adorned its headquarters in Mirpur with huge banners of the triumphant players, and BCB sources said that they are planning to reward the young Tigers for accomplishing the remarkable feat.
Sources said BCB directors and high-ups will be present at the airport to welcome the champion, and Nazmul is supposed to announce a bonus for the team.
