Holders Bangladesh to meet Nepal in SAFF U-19 Women’s opener on Feb 2

Defending champions and hosts Bangladesh will start their campaign in the fifth edition of SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship 2024 against runners-up Nepal in their first match on February 2.

The fixture was announced on Tuesday. India will face Bhutan in the opening match of the competition on the same day.
The holders will play against India and Bhutan in their remaining two matches of the single-leg round robin event on February 4 and 6.

The top two teams will play in the final on February 8. All matches will at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Shipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur.

Meanwhile, the fourth edition of this age-level competition was held as SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship.

Bangladesh became champions beating Nepal by 3-0 goals in the final of that meet in February last year at the same venue. All of these four teams took part in the previous edition.
