The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned Gazi Salauddin Tanvir, Joint Member Secretary of National Citizen Party (NCP), for questioning over allegations of amassing hundreds of crores of taka of illegal wealth through various corruption and irregularities, including abuse of power, lobbying, extortion, tender trading, and other activities.
ACC Director and Head of Investigation Md Rafiquzzaman confirmed it to the Daily Sun.
According to the summon, the ACC has asked Salauddin Tanvir to appear at the ACC head office of Segunbagicha in the capital on 21 May at 10:00am to deliver his statement regarding the allegations.
ACC sources said that the letter summoning Tanvir was sent to his addresses in Kabilpur village of Sonatola Thana under Bogura District. The summon was signed by ACC Assistant Director SM Rashed Hassan.
ACC Director Md Rafiquzzaman said, “Tanvir has been summoned for questioning over allegations of amassing hundreds of crores of taka of illegal wealth through various corruption and irregularities, including abuse of power, lobbying, extortion and tender trading.”
