Elderly woman dies with corona symptoms at KMCH’s isolation ward

A 65-year-old woman died at the isolation ward of Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) with coronavirus symptoms early Sunday.
The woman, hailed from Tutpara area of Khulna city, breathed her last at the hospital around 4:00am.
Confirming the news, Dr Shailandranath Bishwas, spokesperson for the KMCH coronavirus unit, said the woman was admitted at KMCH around 9:00pm last night with fever, sore throat, kidney issues and diabetes.
The hospital authorities have already conducted a Covid-19 test on the samples collected from the deceased, he said.
The test results will come in this afternoon, he added.
