Tk 80 lakh ‘disappears’ from National Bank vehicle

As much as Tk 80 lakh of National Bank Limited went missing from a cash-in-transit vehicle in Old Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.
National Bank’s Dilkusha Branch Senior Executive Vice President Habibur Rahman filed a case with Kotwali Police Station after the incident.
Police have detained four persons so far in the case for questioning.
The detainees are — the bank executive overseeing the transportation of the money, vehicle’s driver and two security personnel.
Confirming the news, Kotwali Police OC Mizanur Rahman said an executive from National Bank’s headquarters along with two armed guards picked up money from its branches in Old Dhaka on Sunday.
