Coronavirus: 165,799 cases, 4,711 deaths reported in India

India has reported 165,799 cases and 4,711 deaths from coronavirus till Friday, according to latest data from worldometer.
While 71,106 patients have recovered from the disease, 89,982 are active cases, the source reported.
However, the country on Friday has reported 7,467 new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the last 24 hours in the highest single-day surge, Hindustan Times reported.
This is the first time India has reported more than 7,000 cases in a single day.
Most of India’s Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat.
