The novel coronavirus has killed 581,221 people in 213 countriens and territories till Wednesday since the outbreak emerged in China last December, according to latest figure from worldometer.

So far, 1,34,57,476 coronavirus infected patients have been registered at 10:25 am (Bangladesh Time), the source said.

While 78,47,229 patients have been considered recovered, 50,29,026 are active cases, the source said.

With the fresh tally around 24 hours, 5,676 people died of coronavirus across the world while 219,355people have been detected with the virus, and a total  of 148,858 coronavirus infected patients have made  full recovery worldwide till date.

Among the coronavirus affected countries, the US death toll has gone up to 139,143, followed by Brazil with 74,262, UK 44,968, Italy 34,984, France 30,029, Spain 28,409, Mexico 36,327, India 24,315, Iran 13,211, Canada 8,798, Pakistan 5,386, China 4,634, Indonesia 3,710, Bangladesh 2,424, Saudi Arabia 2,283, Philippines 1,603, and Australia 111 respectively, according to worldometer.
