Coronavirus global death toll climbs to 619,520

The novel coronavirus has killed 619,520 people in the  213 countries and territories since the virus emerged in Wuhan of China last December, according to latest data from worldometer.

 

So far, 15,096,317 cases of COVID-19  have been registered worldwide at 11 am on Wednesday (Bangladesh Time). Of them, 9,113,043 patients have been considered recovered.

 

Apart from this, the number of active cases are 5,363,754, the source said.

 

With the fresh tally in the 24-hour, 6,180 people died of Covid-19 while 238,974 corona infected patients have been detected, and 201,858 patients have made full recovery.

 

Among other coronavirus affected countries, the US has come up to 144,953 deaths, followed by Brazil with 81,597, UK 45,422, Mexico 40,400, Italy 35,073, France 30,165, India

28,770, Spain 28,424, Iran 14,634, Russia 12,580, China 4,634, Indonesia 4,320, Saudi Arabia 2,557and Australia 128 respectively, according to worldometer.
