The novel coronavirus has killed 648,445 people in the  213 countries and territories since the virus emerged in Wuhan of China last December, according to latest data from worldometer.

So far, 16,202,387 people have tested positive for coronavirus worldwide at 11 am on Sunday (Bangladesh Time). Of them, 9,913,797 patients made full recovery.

Apart from this, the number of active cases are 5,640,145, the source said.

With the fresh tally in the 24-hour, 5,694 people died from cronavirus while 260,581 cases have been diagnosed, and 189,508 patients have been considered recovered.

Among the coronavirus affected countries, the US has gone up to 149,398 deaths, followed by Brazil with 86,496, UK 45,738, Mexico 43,374, Italy 35,102, France 30,192, India 32,096, Spain 28,432, Iran 15,484, Russia 13,192, China 4,634, Indonesia 4,714, Saudi Arabia 2,703 and Australia 155 respectively, according to worldometer.
