The probe committee formed to investigate the killing of the retired major of Bangladesh Army Sinha Md Rashed Khan has started holding a public hearing in Cox’s Bazar.
The four-member body formed by the home ministry started the hearing at 11:00am at the office of Shamlapur Rohingya Camp in-charge in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar.
Earlier on August 12, Shahjahan Ali, Cox’s Bazar additional district magistrate and also a member of the probe committee, issued a public statement requesting people to be present at the office and give their witness accounts.
On July 31, police shot retired Bangladesh Army major Sinha Md Rashed Khan reportedly for obstructing police work in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.
