A Dhaka court on Saturday sent two accused to jail after end of their five-day remand in a case lodged over beating BUET student Abrar Fahad to death.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Shikder passed the order as investigation officer and detective Branch Inspector Md Wahiduzzaman produced Shamim Billah and Moayej Abu Hurayrah before court today.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid on October 13 placed the two on five-day remand in the case.
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) students and the university authorities found seemingly lifeless body of Abrar, 22, in critical condition from first-floor stairs of Sher-e-Bangla Hall and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead around 6.30 am on October 7.
Abrar’s father filed the case with Chawkbazar Police Station against 19 people.
