The government of Bangladesh has announced one day National mourning to be observed on Wednesday (September 2) in honour of former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee who passed away.
Pranab Mukherjee, a seasoned statesman of Indian politics, died on Monday. He was 84.
A few hours into the death, the government of Bangladesh announced the mourning day which was relayed to the press.
The national flag will be hoisted at half-mast on that day, said sources concerned.
The former President of India, who had tested positive for coronavirus, had been in coma after a brain surgery earlier this month.
