Tarequzzaman Rajib, Jubo League leader and DNCC councilor of ward-33, who was arrested from Baridhara area of the capital on Saturday night for his alleged involvement in illegal casino business, has been expelled.
A competent source of Awami Jubo League confirmed Rajib’s expulsion to newsman.
There was a declaration from the Jubo League that in the ongoing drive if anyone arrested for corruption or any other reason would be expelled from the organisation.
Rajib went into hiding when an ongoing anti-casino drive was launched.
There are several allegations against him including illegal occupation, extortion and terrorist activities.
