Interrogation of all the accused in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad murder case completed on Tuesday (October 22).
The detective branch (DB) of police took the accused in remand by turns.
The authorities concerned are expecting that the charge sheet of the much-talked-about killing case will be submitted to the court very soon.
Earlier on Tuesday, ASM Nazmus Sadat gave confessional statement about his involvement in the murder. With the statement of Nazmus Sadat, all 20 accused have given confessional statement before the court concerned in connection with the killing of Abrar, who was allegedly killed by BCL leaders of BUET unit.
He made the confession when he was produced before the court on completion of his five-day remand.
Sadat was placed on the remand on October 16, a day after he was arrested from Katlabazar in Birampur upazila of Dinajpur district while trying to flee the country.
Abrar, 21, a second-year student of electrical and electronic engineering department of BUET, was beaten to death reportedly by BCL leaders at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university. He was found dead on the staircase of the dormitory in the early hours of October 7 after he was taken to room-2011 around 8:00 pm on October 6.
Victim’s father Barkatullah filed a case with Chawkbazar Police Station in the capital against 19 people, including Shamim, over the murder.
