2 killed in Cox’s Bazar as picnic bus hits roadside electric pillar

At least two people were killed and 15 others injured as a picnic bus hit with roadside electric pillar of Sadar upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Md Murad, 18 and Kala Mia, 60.
The accident took place near Hudaibari Government Primary School in Eidgah Wahedpara area at 6:00 am.
The Cox’s Bazar-bound picnic bus of ‘Nilachal Paribahan’ from Noakhali carrying 40 passengers lost control and hit with the roadside electric pillar, leaving two passengers of the bus dead on the spot and 15 passengers injured, Shamim-Al-Mamun, sub-inspector of Eidgah Police Outpost, said.
The injured were admitted to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital immediately after the accident, he said.
