The government has again extended the closure of educational institutions, except Qawmi madrasas, till November 14 to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Education Minister Dipu Moni announced the decision on Thursday at a news conference organised to brief the public about the “overall situation” amid concerns of students and parents over the coronavirus outbreak.
The minister said that they have reviewed many issues, including whether some institutions can be opened on a limited scale.
“We will review more information over the next two weeks and try to open educational institutions on a limited scale if the situation is favourable,”, she said.
All educational institutions were closed on March 16 to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The closure has been extended in phases.
