Islamic scholar Golam Sarwar Sayedee passes away

Eminent Islamic scholar (alem) and pir of Araibari Darbar Sharif in Kosba upazila of Brahmanbaria Golam Sarwar Sayedee passed away at a hospital in the capital on Saturday.
Sayedee, who was also the principal of Araibari Islamia Sayeedia Alia Madrasah, breathed his last at around 4:15am while undergoing treatment.
He will be buried at his family graveyard after his namaj-e-janaja to be held after Asr prayer on the premises of Araibari Darbar Sharif, said mayor of Kosba Upazila Emran Uddin Jewel.
Law Minister Anisul Haq has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Golam Sarwar Sayedee.
In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
