DNCC mayor becomes board member of Asian Volleyball Confederation

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam has become a member of board of administration of Asian Volleyball Confederation.
DNCC confirmed the news in a press release on Saturday morning.
Atiqul, who is also the president of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation, was selected for the post in a meeting board of administration of Asian Volleyball Confederation held on November 9, the release said.
Rita Subowo, president of Asian Volleyball Confederation, sent a letter to Atiqul in this regard recently, it added.
The Asian Volleyball Confederation, commonly known by the acronym AVC, is the governing body for the sports of indoor, beach and grass volleyball in Asia and Oceania.
