Ferry service on Shimulia-Banglabazar route resumes

Ferry and other water vessels including launch and speedboat have started their operation on Shimulia-Banglabazar river route around nine hours after the services were disrupted due to dense fog.
The services restored around 6:30 am on Wednesday (December 9) while it were suspended around 10:30 pm on Tuesday.
Foisal Ahmed, assistant manager (commerce) of Shimulia Ghat at the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC), confirmed the matter to media.
The services of all water vessels including ferry on Shimulia-Banglabazar river route had been stalled to prevent possible accidents due to dense fog, he added.
