Hanging body of a teenage boy was recovered from the front side of a mosque at Krock area of Barguna Sadar upazila on early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Imarn, 14, son of Md Khalil of the upazila.
After being informed by the Moazzin of Mohammadia Jame Mosque and locals, police recovered the body of Imran around 6:30 am, Abir Hossain Mahmud, officer-in-charge (OC) of Barguna Police Station, said.
Family members of Imran said, “Imran, a 9th grader of Confidence School of Barguna town, went outside after he had returned home on Sunday evening and remained missing since then.”
“The Moazzin noticed a hanging body in front of the mosque, when he went there for reciting the Fajr Adhan. Later, he and some locals informed the matter to police. Police recovered the body of Imran hanging in front of the mosque and sent it to a hospital’s morgue for an autopsy.”
OC Abir Hossain said, “The body of Imran has been sent to Barguna General Hospital for an autopsy. No mark of wound was primarily found in the body in the inquest (Surathal). Legal action will be taken after the report of autopsy is prepared.”
