Missing minor’s body found in Rangpur

Police recovered the body of a minor girl from a pond at Sarkarpara village of Rangpur on Tuesday morning, one day after she went missing.
The deceased was identified as Maisha Akter, 4, daughter of Monwar Hossain, hailing from the area.
Maisha’s uncle Anwar Hossain said she had been missing since Monday noon and they searched every possible place but could not found her.
This morning, locals spotted the floating body in the pond near the house of her neighbor Matin and informed police.
He also said that there were marks of injuries on the neck and ears of the deceased Maisha.
Confirming the news, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shahidullah Kawshar said the matter is being investigated.
