State minister for youth and sports Zahid Ahsan Russell has said a letter will be issued to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to know about the matter of Bangladeshi cricket all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.
“Whatever the decision of the ICC comes to, we will stand beside Shakib,” he said this while talking to journalists on Tuesday (today).
Zahid Ahsan Russell further said, “I have talked about the matter of Shakib with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Besides, I discussed the matter with other stakeholders.”
A report has already been published in different media that Shakib Al Hasan may be banned for 18 months for allegedly concealing proposal of a match fixing. Shakib got a proposal from one of the ICC blacklisted gamblers. And such an allegation has been proved by ICC Anti-Corruption Department.
