Indian National Investigation Agency received an anonymous letter of terror threat that prompted Delhi police to beef up security at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi where India would face Bangladesh in a T20 international on November 3.
Indian newspapers Hindustan Times and Times of India reported that the threat was issued by All India Lashkar, based out of Kozhikode, Kerala.
It would be first match at the stadium after it was renamed after late Bharatiya Janata Party leader Arun Jaitley from previous name of Firoz Shah Kotla stadium.
India are scheduled to play three T20Is against Bangladesh, the first of which would be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. The three-match series would be followed by two Tests.
