College student killed in Cox’s Bazar road crash

A college student was killed as a passenger bus hit an auto-rickshaw at Joarianala union of Ramu upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Nasrin Jahan Boishakhi, 22, daughter of late Dalilur Rahman, hailing from Saudagar Para of the same union. She completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Ramu Government College. Apart from study, Nasrin was also serving at a private clinic at Ramu upazila.

The incident happened at Tea Garden area while Nasrin was returning home from the clinic.
Witnesses said that a bus of Swadhin Travels Paribahan hit the auto-rickshaw coming from opposite direction, leaving its passenger Nasrin dead on the spot, and its driver and another one seriously injured.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and seized the killer bus.

A pal of gloom descended on the area following the tragic deaths of the college student.

Kamal Shamsuddin Ahmed Prince, Chairman of the Union Parishad, confirmed the death of Nasrin.
