The cold may continue for a few more days across the country with the temperature going to fall further, Bangladesh Meteorological Department said on Thursday.
The lowest temperature was recorded at 7.1 degree Celsius in Dinajpur. Meanwhile, temperature in Dhaka was 16 degree.
The cold wave started from Wednesday and it may continue for 2-3 days, the Met office said.
The cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna and Naogaon, it added.
Day and night temperature may deteriorate slightly in the next 24-hour starting from 9am on Thursday.
The mercury with clouded sky may persist in the country.
The previous day, the lowest temperature was recorded at 7.8 degree Celsious in Badalgachhi of Naogaon.
