Ex-MP and mayoral candidate Amzad Hossain Sarker dies

Mayoral candidate of Saidpur municipality election and former MP Amzad Hossain Sarker dies from coronavirus infections at a hospital in the capital on Thursday morning.
He breathed his last at Bangladesh Specialised Hospital around 6:30 am while undergoing treatment.
Amjad Hossain was suffering from diabetes and lung diseases for long.
Sarker was elected MP from Nilphamari-4 constituency as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate in 2001. He was elected mayor of the municipality three times and chairman of the upazila council once.
