A man and his son were killed in a head-on collision between a human hauler and a motorcycle in Chowaripara area in Banaripara upazila of Barishal on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Md Sumon and his minor boy Md Hasib, hailing from Birmahal village of Jhalakathi.

The human hauler collided with the motorcycle on which Sumon, his wife and their minor boy were riding in the area at 4:00 pm, leaving the trio seriously injured, said Helal Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Banaripara police station.
The locals rescued them and took them to Banaripara Upazila Health Complex but doctor of the complex referred Sumon and Hasib to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospita.

However, doctor of the hospital declared them dead on arrival, he said.
