Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Sunday that opener Tamim Iqbal went for an x-ray for the finger injury that he received on the fourth day of the ongoing Test match against West Indies at Chattogram’s Jahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
Tamim did not come to field on the fifth day.
“Tamim was taken for x-ray,” BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin confirmed Daily Sun on Sunday.
Tamim got out of the field after sustaining the injury on the finger of the right hand as he tried to hold a catch that was dropped short and later came back four overs before the stump was drawn.
Meanwhile, Shadman Islam is being assessed for groin injury.
