Probe body formed over writer Mushtaq’s death

A probe body has been formed over the death of writer Mushtaq Ahmed in Kashimpur High Security Prison.

Gazipur district authorities formed the two-member committed on Friday.

Confirming the news, Gazipur Deputy Commissioner SM Tarikul Islam said the committee will check whether there was negligence in Mushtaq’s treatment.
The members of the committee include executive magistrates Md Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury and Umme Habiba Farzana.

The committee has been asked to submit the report within two working days, he said.
