2 killed in Gaibandha road crash

Two people were killed and eight others injured after a passenger bus hit a stranded CNG and a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Fasitala area of Gaibandha’s Gobindaganj upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Mohon Mia, 28, and Firoj Kabir, 29, both of them hailing from Pakulla village in Sonatal upazila.
The Rangpur-bound picnic bus lost control and rammed the vehicles on Dhaka-Rangpur highway at 10:30 am, leaving the CNG driver and the rickshaw driver dead on the spot and eight passengers of the bus injured, said Khairul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gobindaganj Highway Police Station.
Later, the injured were brought to Gobindaganj Upazila Health Complex, he said.
