3 killed as bus hits auto-rickshaw in Sylhet

Three people were killed and two others injured as a bus rammed a CNG-run three-wheeler in Sylhet’s South Surma upazila on Wednesday evening.
The deceased were identified as auto-rickshaw driver Shamim Mia, 35, Rahela Begum, 50, and Kamrun Nesa Shipa, 20.
The bus hit the auto-rickshaw from the behind at Lal Bazar area on Dhaks-Sylhet Highway at around 4:00pm, leaving two dead on the spot and three others injured, said officer-in-charge of South Surma Police Station Monirul Islam.
The injured were taken to hospital where one other succumbed to his injuries, he said.
