Kalshi-Banani flyover to remain shut for one month

Traffic movement on Kalshi-Banani Flyover suspended from November 7 to December 6 to facilitate the construction work of an underpass at a road adjacent to Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment School and College in the city.
During this period, the traffic police made an elaborate arrangement to divert the vehicular movement through various stretches.
The underpass has been constructed after two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment School and College lost their lives in a road crash due the recklessness of a bus driver.
On July 29, Diya Khanam Mim and Abdul Karim Rajib, both first year students of the college, were killed as a bus ploughed through some students in front of the Kurmitola General Hospital on the Airport Road.
