Armanitola fire: Newlywed man dies at SHNIBPS, death toll rises to 6

A man, who sustained burn injured at the chemical warehouse fire in Old Dhaka’s Armanitola, died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital on Wednesday night.
Ashiquzzaman Khan, breathed his last at the Intensive care unit of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 11:45pm.
Partha Sanker Paul, resident surgeon of the institute, confirmed the matter.
His wife Muna Sarkar is still on life support, Partha Sanker said.
With the death of Ashiquzzaman, the death toll from the fire stood at six.
A day after the incident, the couple was put on life support at the institute
Ashiquzzaman and Muna tied the knot around one and a half months ago. Their wedding reception was yet to be held.
