2 motorcyclists killed in Patuakhali road crash

Two youths were killed after a truck rammed into their motorcycle on the Patuakhali-Kuakata highway in Sadar upazila of Patuakhali on Saturday evening.
The deceased were identified as Jayanta Chantra, 25, son of Bankim Chandra and Apurba, 24, son of Nepal Bhuiyan in Chatra village in Galachipa upazila of the same district.
A Kalapara-bound goods laden truck from Barishal hit the motorbike on which Jayantra and Apurba were coming to Patuakhali town from Galachipa from the opposite direction in Pakshiya bazar area around 6pm, leaving the two dead on the spot, Akhtar Morshed, officer-in-charge of Patuakhali Police Station, said.
