Lightning strike kills 2 in Chattogram

Two people were killed when a thunderbolt struck them in Anowara upazila of Chattogram early hours of Monday.

The deceased were identified as Md Ilias, 45, son of Ashi Mia and Md Abul Kashem, son of late Azizur Rahman, both of them  hailing from the area.

The bodies were recovered from Paschim Bariya Godarpool area at Battali union of the upazila around 4:00am, said Md Abdul Alim, sub-inspector of Anowara police station.

The SI also said the the bodies have been kept at morgue for autopsies.
