Army Chief calls on Navy Chief

The newly appointed Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh Army General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed called on Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Shaheen Iqbal on Wednesday at Navy Headquarters in the capital.

When the Chief of Army Staff arrived at Navy Headquarters, the Chief of Naval Staff greeted and congratulated him.

Chief of Army Staff was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned out Navy Contingent.He inspected the guard and took salute. During the meeting they exchanged pleasantries and spent some time.

On 24 June 2021, General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed officially took charge as the Chief of the Bangladesh Army.
