Students,orphans pray for Bashundhara Group chairman

Bashundhara Group, the country’s leading business conglomerate, distributed relief materials among orphans, madrasa students and the destitute in several places of Panchagarh on Friday.

Shuvasangha, a social platform of Kaler Kantho, distributed food and other essential items at Khaykhatpara Noorania and Hafezia Madrasa and Orphanage at Tironihat union in Tetulia upazila.

On humanitarian grounds, Bashundhara Group has stood by the poor students and other venerable people of the north Bengal region amid Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Md Yunus Ali, headmaster of the madrasa, led a prayer session, marking the distribution of relief among students.

The madrasah students prayed for good health and welfare of Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan.

Panchagarh Zila Parishad Chairman Anwar Sadat Samrat, Tetulia UNO Sogah Chandra Saha, Upazila Chairman Kazi Mahmudur Rahman Dablu, AC Land Masudul Huq, Tetulia Model Police Station’s OC Abu Sayem Mia, central Krisak League Vice-President Abdul Latif Tarin, upazila BNP convenor Shahdat Hossain Ranju, Shuvasangha Director Zakaria Jaman, its central committee General Secretary Shamim Al Mamun, member Sharif Mahadi Ashraf, the organisation’s  Panchagarh district President Firoz Alam Rajib were present at the distribution ceremony.

Kaler Kantho correspondent Ataur Rahman Kabul moderated the programme.

In a separate programme, Shuvasangha distributed relief materials among hundreds of poor people, including women and elderly persons, at Tetulia upazila auditorium.

Rice, lentil, oil and other necessary items for 10 days were given to the people.
