All the past records were broken in the division as highest-ever 71 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. Besides, 1,756 new cases of infections were registered, says media report.
Divisional Health Director Rasheda Sultana revealed this information on Friday. According to the official data, some 23 people died in Khulna district in the last 24 hours.
Besides, 14 died in Kushtia, nine in Jashore, 10 in Jhenaidah, six in Chuadanga, five in Meherpur, two in Bagerhat and one each in Narail and Magura during the period.
