2 killed as truck, pick-up collide in Gaibandha

Two people were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and pick-up van in Fasitala area at Kamardah union under Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Kuddus, 60 and Moyej Ali, 45. They were cattle traders.
The goods-laden truck collided with the pick-up van carrying the victims coming from opposite direction on Rangpur-Dhaka highway this morning, leaving one dead in the spot and injuring five others, said Khairul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gobindaganj Highway Police Station.
The injured were taken to a local hospital where duty doctor declared another dead.
