COVID-19: Infections in Khulna division pass 80,000 mark

The number of coronavirus cases in Khulna devision on Saturday crossed the 80,000-mark.
The division recorded 539 new patients in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 80,076.
It also registered 40 new casualties to bring the death toll to 1,497.
Rasheda Sultana, Director of Divisional Health Directorate, confirmed the matter to media.
Of the deceased, ten are each from Khulna and Jashore, eight from Kushtia, five from Chuadanga, three each from Jhenaidah and Meherpur and one from Magura.
Beside, 51,665 people have been cured from the disease.
Khulna reported its first Coronavirus case on March 19 last year.
