The European country of Denmark is now the home to the world’s tallest sandcastle situated in the stunning small seaside town of Blokhus. This sandcastle has made it to the Guinness World Records.

According to Guinness World Records, the castle is three metres taller than a castle built in Germany in 2019, which earlier held the title of being the world’s largest sandcastle.

Dutchman Wilfred Stijger, the creator of the castle had the world’s 30 best sand sculptors assisting him throughout his castle building journey.

The residents of Blokhus are absolutely elated with the record and are delighted for the sandcastle.

According to the authorities, the sandcastle will be there until the heavy frost sets in, which means until February or March next year.

Specialities of the sandcastle

The sandcastle is built using 4860 tonnes of sand.

The castle stands 69.4 feet (21.16 m) tall and weighs nearly 5000 tonnes.

The intricately decorated structure is a vision and reminds of a pyramid.

Dutchman Wilfred Stijger is the creator of the sandcastle.

The world’s 30 best sand sculptors have assisted in making the sandcastle.

The castle is a model of the virus wearing a crown as the creator wanted it to represent the power of COVID-19 over the world.

10% clay has been used to make the castle and was later layered with glue to complete the look.

This will also make it strong to withstand chilly and windy conditions.
