Man kills wife, son in city over ‘extra marital affair’

A man killed his wife and one-and-a-half-year-old child over ‘extramarital affair’ in Jatrabari of the capital on Monday night.
The deceased were identified as Ruma Akter (27), wife of Abdul Wahid, and their son Md Rishad.
Killer Abdul went into hiding after the incident.
The incident took place around 11:00pm, on the first floor of a house in Mirhazirbag area, Majharul Islam, officer-on-charge (OC) of Jatrabari Police Station.
On information, police personnel recovered the bodies from the house and sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College morgue for autopsies, the SI said.
Police suspected that the mother and son were hit with hammer and strangled with pillow. Police have seized the items.
SI Alim said they are trying to arrest Abdul.
