Classes in all primary, secondary and higher secondary level educational institutions will resume on September 12.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni came up with the announcement while speaking at a programme in Chandpur on Friday.

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificates (HSC) examinations and their equivalent tests will be held in November and December, respectively, as per the previous announcement, the minister said.

Dipu Moni’s announcement came a day after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said in the parliament that measures are being taken to reopen the schools and colleges soon.

Earlier on Thursday, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said that all state-run and private medical colleges in Bangladesh will reopen from September 13 in a staggered manner.
