Brac University student drowns in Cox’s Bazar beach

A student of Brac University were drowned in the Cox’s Bazar sea beach on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Towfiq Makbul, 23, son of Nurul Amin of capital’s Adabar area.
He was a third-year student of Computer Engineering of the university.
Quoting Beach Management Committee, Syed Murad Islam, Nirbahi Magistrate of Cox’s Bazar, said that Towfiq along with his two friends swept away by strong wave while they were taking bath at the Seagull point of the sea beach.
Later, lifeguard members rescued them and taken to a hospital where duty doctor declared Towfiq dead.
