Renowned fiction writer Hasan Azizul Haque is being taken to Rajshahi from Dhaka on Thursday.
An ambulance with intensive care facilities carrying the 83-year-old writer started for Rajshahi on doctors’ advice around 11:30am.
Imtiaz Hasan, associate professor of Biochemistry and Microbiology Department at Rajshahi University and son of the writer said, “My father is now stable. So, we are taking my father home. He has not recovered completely, but there are no serious complications at this moment. We will arrange medical tests at home from time to time,”
He said that he was suffering from old age complications, including heart and diabetes problems for long.
Hasan Azizul Haque was brought to Dhaka on August 21 after falling seriously ill and admitted to National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD).
Later, in the day, he was shifted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) from NICVD for better treatment.
