Awami League issues show-cause notice to Gazipur city mayor Mohammad Zahangir Alam

The Awami League (AL) has issued a show-cause notice to Gazipur City Corporation mayor Mohammad Zahangir Alam for allegedly carrying out activities against the interests of the Awami League and breaching organisational discipline.
The notice was signed by AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Sunday (October 03).
AL office secretary Biplob Barua confirmed this information to media.
Zahangir recently made some comments about Bangabandhu and the number of martyred freedom fighters at a programme and the video of it went viral.
