Gold worth Tk 10 crore recovered from Biman flight

A team of customs detectives and investigation departments has recovered 120 gold bars weighing about 14 kg from a plane at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The market value of the seized gold bars is around Tk 10 crore.
The gold bars were seized from a flight of Bangladesh Biman Airlines from Dubai around 9:30 pm on Tuesday (October 5).
The operation was led by Abu Hanif Mohammad Abdul Ahad, the company’s assistant director.
Customs Detective Assistant Revenue Officer Shafiqul Islam confirming the matter said the details will be disclosed at a press briefing in the airport at 11:00 am on Wednesday.
