Jubo League leader shot dead in Cox’s Bazar

A Jubo League leader was shot dead by miscreants in Moheskhali upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Ruhul Quader (35), son of Mohammad Amin.

The incident took place at Fakir Jumpara on the east side of Kalarma Chhara Bazar, a crime zone in the upazila, at 10:00pm.

 

He was a president of Moheskhali Upazila Bangabandhu Foundation and former vice president of Union Jubo League.

According to local sources, the miscreants deliberately took him down from the auto-rickshaw and hacked him with a sharp knife and then shot him before fleeing over previous enmity while Ruhul was returning home from Kalarmarchhara Bazaar

He was later rescued by the locals and taken to Kalarmarchhara Sub-Health Center but he dies on his way to Badarkhali General Hospital.

Abdul, officer-in-charge (OC) of Moheskhali Police Station said police are trying to nab the criminals who involved in the murder, adding that the body was sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
