A case has been filed with Ukhiya Police Station in Cox’s Bazar district in connection with the killing of six people at a Rohingya camp’s madrasa in the upazila at an early hours of Friday.
Deceased Azizul Haque’s father Nurul Islam lodged the case on Saturday night accusing 25 named and some 200-250 unnamed people.
Meanwhile, Armed Police Battalion (APBn) members carried out separate drives from Friday (October 22) to 3pm on Saturday and arrested 10 persons.
Regarding the matter, APBn’s additional superintendent of Cox’s Bazar police Kamran Hossain said of the 10, Mujibur Rahman has been arrested from camp-11 alongwith a shutter gun and six bullets.
Police, however, filed arms case against Mujibur with the police station.
Of the detained persons, three confess to their direct involvement in the murder incident.
Six people were killed during an attack by armed miscreants at Darul Ulum Nadwatul Olama Al Islamia Madrasa on October 22.
