5 detained, explosives recovered from ‘militant den’ in Nilphamari

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested five people, including two women, during a raid on a suspected militant hideout in Nilphamari’s Sadar Upazila.
In addition to the arrests, explosives have been recovered from the building.
A house at Puthihari Majhapara village of Sonaray union was cordoned off by the members of Rapid Action Battalion from 2:00 am today on suspicion of being a militant hideout, said ANM Imran Khan, RAB assistant director.
A team of RAB’s bomb disposal unit from Rangpur reached the spot, he said.
